Suri-ism

I was running a hot bath the other night. I mean a hot one. It had been a busy day and I was looking forward to a nice hot quiet bath. Once I had turned the lights off and climbed in and got all comfy and relaxed guess what happened...... Lights turn on and a 6 year old looks at me me while she is already undressing and says "can I get in?". Not the worst part. I also must inform you that I don't have a fancy whirlpool tub. Nope it is an old school plain ol'e rectangle tub. Okay, back to my story. So Sophs climbs in and I give her strict rules about not talking and attempt to relax again. Then, Suri come in and says "I get in too". So in comes Suri. So now it's me, Sophia, and Suri in this little tub. Not relaxing. And the grand finale....... Suri squats on my leg and says "mommy, I pee on you". Yep, she owned it. The life of a mommy.

Girls day

Today Sophs and I had a girl day. Our special day just so happened to fall on the same day that the American occupational therapy association held it's annual conference. And it was in downtown Indy. So, I decided that Sophia and I would hit up the expo hall. Sophs was sooooo funny. After every booth she would say "this is so awesome". Of course with her being the only child in a crowd of a thousand, a lot of the pediatric vendors were able to use her to demonstrate their sensory products and they all took pictures. So fun! After the OT expo we went to Lunch where my sweet, but high demand child asked the waitress for the filet. Expensive date! I've taught her well. After lunch we shopped, got some hot chocolate, and enjoyed the massage chairs at Circle Center. Such a fun day.

Madison

We took a little trip to Madison this weekend to visit my family. All of the cousins got together for a little homemade play dough fun. Yep, that's right, I said homemade. My sister and I took on a pinterest challenge and won.



Suri and izzy (my gorgeous niece, aka tinker bell) were so excited that mama Pam and papa Dale bought Dora movies. This was the best picture we could get of these monkeys together.




Of course we checked out Crystal and Jules new lunch menu and it was so yummy. I may or may not have been stealing food from my children....and my mom...... ;)

On Friday sophia's school held a special mommy and me lunch. I planned my day carefully and made it without any problems. Definitely a benefit of working close to home. Unfortunately this is what Sophia had to show me when I got there. Josh had called me on my way to let me know he just got off of the phone with the nurse at her school.



Nearly bit straight through it. Yikes.
Well, bring on the week.

Ballgame

Josh had two girls from his basketball team get invited to participate in an all-star game yesterday. Suri performed as the half time show displaying her mad dance skills. She even got a round of applause from the crowd.

Ribbons

Sophs has had such an exciting week. Not only did she lose her first tooth, but she also earned two ribbons at gymnastics. She got her first for doing a back bend and she got her second for winning a contest on the bars. Yeah sophs!




And just so you know Suri is doing well......the Sabol smile:

Happy Easter

Happy Easter friends and family. We had a whirlwind Easter with a quick trip to Michigan to see papi and Boo. In true papi and Boo fashion they had lots planned for the girls. They colored Easter eggs, made a bunny cake, had an Easter egg hunt, and got Easter baskets. Spoiled rotten! Here are some pictures and one very special video.

Easter egg hunts

Yesterday was a day of Easter egg hunts. Suri's school hosted the first Easter egg hunt at our local park in the morning. My work had an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon followed by a visit from the Easter bunny. The girls got so much candy! I of course have picked out all of the bottle caps because they are my fave!
