Girls day

Today was crazy, crazy but good. The girls and i packed up a bajillion things and went to one of sophia's classmate's birthday party. Josh had practice so leaving suri with him was out of the question. Grrrrr! So, as I said we packed up a bajillion things and trudged through. Suri was in the stroller, she was out of the stroller, she was trying to do downward dog on a gross bowling ally floor, she ran around like a wild baby...... Whew! That lasted about 1.5 hr until Josh got finished with practice and picked her up. 450 calories burned for sure while chasing her around.

All of that while Sophia was just having an absolute ball bowling.

After being tagged out by Josh Sophia and I went shopping and out for dinner. A girls day. We had a great time. We sat across from each other at dinner and had big girl conversation. She is such a sweet girl, but I think she is the most hilarious child I know. I, honestly, never know what she is going to say.

Until next time.......

Suri update

Suri had her 16th month appointment today and here were her stats:

Height- 33.5 inches (104th percentile)
Weight- 25lbs 5oz
Head- only in the 85th percentile

She is a chatty Cathy. She is saying "daddy, mommy, Sophie (sounds like soapy), ball, baby, happy, night night, bye byes, doggy, puppy, kitty, touchdown, snow, hi, di di, juice, mama, papi, boo, more"....and a few others..

She loves dancing, playing with shape sorters, and climbing....EVERYTHING!

She loves eating berries and whip cream but is definitely not a picky eater. I love that.

She is doing great at the babysitters and our plan is for her to transition to early preschool by summer.

Until next time.......

Bombshell

So, my mom....(insert negative head shake) walks up to my desk today and doesn't say the normal "good morning" or "hey moline". Nope, she says "I know, I look like a total bombshell today. I can't help it". To her credit she was sporting one fantastic tan........and the diamonds didn't hurt matters. But modest? Not a bit...... Hilarious? Most definitely.

Weekend roundup

The weekend was great, despite temperatures outside at their lowest. Brrrrrr. The girls and I spent the day together on Friday. Sophs played hooky from preschool and we just hung out at home. Saturday we ventured out to josh's ballgame. I'm still shocked to say that we actually made it through the whole thing. Sure, I was strolling Suri around for nearly 3 quarters, but at least I got to watch. And today we hosted some friends for food and football. Now it's time to relax.........

Hair styles

Today I looked at Sophs and asked her "Sophs, what are we going to do with your hair?". She told me "we are going to let it grow like Rapunzel so I can smack people around with it". Oh geez.....

Until next time.....

Ps. We got nearly 5 inches of snow today. Holy moly!

Long day

What a day.....

-I accidentally set my alarm for 5:30 pm instead of am. Went to work without showering which means my hair looked extra super greasy. YUCK!
-the interstate was shut down on my way to work due to an accident requiring me to take a long detour.

-work was good just back to back patients. Very busy!

-hit traffic on way home making long commute even longer.

-didn't make it home in time to go to boxing class.

-by the time i made it home I was too hungry to cook dinner. Hello Papa Johns.

But, you know what made everything alright?

These faces........

Face paint

Sophs has had in her head for about a week that she wanted to paint faces at home. I finally gave into her request. Please disregard the dark roots. I'm about a month overdue for a highlight.

Smile

Suri has found her cheesy smile.

She may be the best eater ever. Tonight she had chili and cornbread. I asked her how it was and she said "mmmmmmmm, nummy".

Dancing and daddy date

As mentioned before, Suri Jean is a dancing machine. I caught her in the act today. These still pictures don't fully show the madness of her wiggles so you will just have to trust me.

Sophia loves Fridays. For one, I pick her up early on Friday. And the other reason is that she usually gets to do something fun on Friday whether it be slumber party, movie, date with daddy or mommy, etc. Well tonight Josh had to scout a ball game and decided that Sophs would go along. She likes ball games because of the candy. And who could blame her. I'm a fan of the sour straws myself. Sophs was also excited because she filled up her chore chart and that means she gets to pick out a small "something" from the store. She told me she was going to get makeup but we will see what Josh allows. Sophs picked out her own clothes for her date. I helped her with her hair.

Happy New Year

Wow, the last two weeks have been great but definitely busy. We loved spending Christmas day with Boo, papi, Kyle, and Zack.

Between Christmas and New Years day the flu bug struck our house. Luckily it was only a 24 hour thing. I did miss Karen's BBQ ribs though. Boo!

Josh and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on the 27th. It is so hard to believe it has been seven years.

Josh had a holiday tournament and their team won. Woot woot!

New Years eve was a lot of fun. We went out for dinner with some friends while the kiddos (mostly Suri) gave the babysitters a run for their money.

This weekend we went to Madison to celebrate Christmas with Pamela, Dale, Kami's crew, and Dale's son Andy and his fiancee. Andy is a chef and made the most amazing dinner. My poor fuzzy photo doesn't do it justice. The girls were once again spoiled rotten.

Well, Happy New Year everyone.

Until next time....
