Sour patch kid

I think I have mentioned before that Suri reminds me of a sour patch kid. She can be so sweet and so cuddly, then out of no where she will kick you in the shin. I caught her antics on the monitor the other day. Just look at this crazy girl.

Good news

After a mock drop off yesterday evening and many many verbal reviews Sophia was dropped off at school drama free. Yipee! Matter of fact she ran right in the door, no hesitation.

Kindergarten has been going very well. She says she misses her friends at Goddard but she likes it. She especially likes recess, lunch, and art class. And, she has stayed on green everyday (which basically means she hasn't gotten in trouble).

Surs loves school. Josh says she is so happy in the morning. I also bribe her at night to go bed by saying "if you want to see ms. D. Then you need to go night night". That's terrible but it works. Suri's favorite things to say are "shake your bootie" and "I nummy" which means I love you.

Sophs and Josh are going to the colts game tonight and Surs and I are just gonna hang out.

Until next time...

Drop off drama

Wow, the start of my Friday was, let's just say SUCKY!!! I'm off work on Fridays, which is wonderful because I get to spend time with the girls and clean the house etc. Well, today was the first Friday since Sophs started kindergarten so I had to drop her off at school. This isn't the norm for her since she is now used to riding the bus to school from her before school daycare. She has become familiar with the entrance to the school she is supposed to go in. Today I pull through the drop off line (this is my first time too and honestly I don't know what the heck I'm doing) and put the car in park and then I got out to help Sophs get unbuckled and get out of the car. This child starts heading around the school to the entrance she is familiar with which is at least 400 yards away. I'm like "no Sophs you have to go in this door with all of the other kids" and I run after her. All the while Surs is in the car yelling "mommy, mom, momma, mum, mommy.....". So, Sophs starts crying because she is now nervous and unsure. Luckily for us a teacher came over and asked if I wanted her to walk Sophia to her class. I felt like the most terrible mother EVER! But, that's not the worst part. I should also mention that we were backing up traffic at the school, at least 15 cars watching all of this go down.. Still not the worst part. The worst part is that I had stuffed my big ol' bunzies in a pair of spandex for exercise class and all of those cars saw me running around my car like some crazy lady shaken what my momma gave me. Yikes.

First day

Well, I just dropped my sweet Sophs off for her first day of kindergarten. She did awesome. She was a little nervous but that quickly went away when she saw her friends Gabby and Riley. She will get to ride the school bus to and from her before and after school care and she was very excited about that. I will update more after pick up this afternoon. Until next time.....

End of Summer

This week has been super crazy. We have had open house for Sophs before and after school care, ice cream social at her school, and kindergarten orientation. Along with that, Josh and I have been training for a race in Chicago (still not sure why I am doing that). Sophs has also been tagging along with Josh when he has gone into school to get his lesson plans in place. I've been a lousy blogger the last couple of weeks due to crazy schedules and fatigue. Hang in there with me and I will get back on track. Here are some pics.
