Summer wrap-up

As you can tell from my lack of posts we have been so extremely busy. We sold our house, I mean closed, moved out the whole bit. That being said, we had to move into a hotel for a month, which was interesting. And finally, two weeks ago we moved into our new house. Wahoo!

We are still unpacking......probably will be for the next year or longer....

On a less happy note, our Sophs broke her arm at school last week.

Suri and Sophs started soccer a couple weeks ago. Sophs is obviously done, but Suri is just loving it. This is her first time playing and this last Saturday she scored two goals.

Until next time...

Wedding weekend

What a whirlwind weekend! We spent all of memorial weekend in Madison celebrating the wedding of Dale's son. It was such a gorgeous outdoor wedding and the reception was held at his restaurant Crystal and Jules.

The cousins also got a great pool day on Monday.

And I know that they are both gonna gripe at me but this picture was to good not to share.

Until next time.

Suri-ism

I was using the bathroom with Suri as my audience (because I am never allowed privacy) and the following conversation took place.

Suri: "mommy, girls go to the bathroom like you".
Me: "that's right".
Suri: "and boys stand up and hold their tails to pee in the potty".
Me: "errrrrrrr.... Yep, that is right Suri. They hold their tails".

Softball

Softball season is in full swing. We were not sure if we were going to sign Sophs up this year due to our busy schedules, but ended up doing it anyway. I'm so glad we did. Sophia is learning so much. She is a natural up at bat and her throwing is getting better and better.

Spring!

Hello friends! Lazy blogger is back........at least for the present moment. Lots has happened over the last month. We went to Disney..again...and loved it! Sophs is in softball and soccer so that is keeping us running. Suri moved to the next class at school. She has been begging us to take her to gymnastic class so maybe we will will sign her up in July.... We are trying to sell our house so needless to say things have been busy and stressful.

This weekend we went to Michigan to see Josh's family and celebrate grandpa's birthday. We also went to a Tiger's game. The weather was so beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Here are some pictures.

Oz

My daughter Suri is absolutely obsessed with The Wizard of Oz. She even asked Santa for a Dorothy costume for Christmas. Imagine her excitement when she saw the previews for Oz. Well, we took both girls to see the movie on opening weekend. I had low expectations because, well, how can you compare to the original? I was proven wrong and the movie was fantastic. Both girls loved it and sat through the whole thing without complaint. Suri even developed her own evil witch laugh which is awesome if I do say so myself. Until next time......

Skyzone

Last weekend we took the girls to a place called sky zone in Plainfield, IN. Since josh coaches girls basketball they decided to make it a team event. Sophia and Suri had so much fun. Sophia actually fell asleep on one of the players on the ride home. Anyhow, a great day and we will definitely be going again.

Birthday Celebration

This weekend we celebrated Sophia's birthday with Boo and Papi. Sophia decided that she wanted to go to the children's museum and go out for dinner. Her real birthday is Wednesday and I cannot believe she is going to be seven years old. Love that girl.

My silly girls

Is this not the sweetest picture of the girls? Don't let it fool you. They can look like they are besties for 5 seconds but the rest of the time they are karate chopping or kicking each other.

Sophia's team finally won a game today. Thank goodness because they needed a little lift.

January happenings

January has been such a busy month for us. Sophia started her 1st and 2nd grader basketball league. She did such a good job in her first game. No baskets but she played great defense and moved around a lot on offense. The tendency for this age group is to run up to the person dribbling and yell for it. Not sophs, she kept her girl busy.

Here is suri and the buddy she plays with during sophs practice and games.

Also, sophs lost both of her front teeth now. She just pulls them out herself. So gross.

Here is a picture of my sweet girl looking way to grown up. :(

Josh's basketball team is doing great this year. They are actually playing for the conference championship tonight.

Christmas

It is so sad how quickly Christmas goes by. All that planning and it's over so quickly. The girls have had such a great couple of weeks. Visits with both sides of the family, trips to ballgames, sledding, and lots of playing with toys. Oh to be a kid again, not a care in the world. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all. May 2013 bring much happiness. Until next time.....

Right before opening

Me and my grandma. Love her!
