Swingset

Last weekend the Sabol clan attempted and succeeded the task of assembling a swing set. The weather didn't completely cooperate but they managed. The girls LOVE it! They spent an hour and a half outside today playing on it.

Yes, you saw that right. Not only is Sophs wearing a dress to play, but she is also filthy and shoeless. MOTHER OF THE YEAR!!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! The Sabol family celebrated in traditional fashion with egg dying, Easter egg hunt, and of course Easter bunny baskets. I'm pretty sure my hands are going to be blue for about a week. Suri had a peep, or two, for breakfast and Sophs went for the chocolate marshmallow egg. I know, I know, Mother of the Year material......... Tonight we are making Easter dinner. Well, let's be honest, Boo is making Easter dinner and I am going to be walking around the kitchen pretending like I know what I'm doing. :).

Sophia-ism

Yesterday we came home from the mall and there was a flyer tucked into our door knob. I told sophs to run up to the door and grab it. She game running back to me and said "look mom, Jesus is in town" and handed me a church flyer. All I could say was "he sure is sophs"......

Friday with Suri

I love my Fridays with Suri. She is so fun right now. She loves to sing and dance. She can point to and say most of her body parts. She is stubborn and sassy and stands up for herself when Sophs tries to be bossy. She loves blueberries, although she calls them "boobies". Josh gets uncomfortable when she asks for them, but I think it is hilarious.

Kindergarten Roundup

Tonight was the night. My baby, my first baby went to kindergarten roundup. She was so stinkin' excited she could barely stand herself. We filled out paperwork, turned in immunization records, and met the teachers. I was so impressed. Now sure, it's been a few years since I was in kindergarten, but there were at least ten computers in each room. Sophs thought it was awesome that they had a hole punch. Easily amused. There was one sheet asking for "anything we should know about your child?". The teachers say they use this extra info for matching the right kid to the right teacher. I was just about to write "social, talks a lot, asks a cajillion questions", but I was afraid she would be placed with a strict teacher who didn't appreciate how funny she was, so I just left it blank. We will let them figure that one at for themselves. They also let the kids get on a bus. Sophs loved it. She is so ready for kindergarten. I'm just not so sure I am.

Tigers

We took a little road trip up to Michigan this weekend to visit with Josh's family. Once again Sophia was glued to her uncle Kyle and Suri spread the love all around. Sophia told us on the way up "uncle kykie is going to fall in love with me this weekend". I'm pretty sure she has him wrapped around her little finger already. We went to a Detroit Tigers baseball game and basically ate everything they offer in the stadium. I had to ward of tears by fully explaining that I wasn't actually eating a real elephants ear. It was goooooooooood. We just got home this afternoon and Suri was so exhausted that she laid on the family room floor and just fell asleep.

We are excited for the nice weather today and plan on heading to the park to let the girls run off some energy.
