Halloween 2010

Trick or treat on Sunday?............. Odd, but okay we're in.... This year Sophs dressed like her all time favorite princess, Mulan (she really should be included with all of the girly girl princesses, and she could totally whoop up on Cinderella......... Just sayin'). Suri, was more difficult. I swore up and down that I had a piggy costume in her size somewhere. I just knew it would turn up before Halloween, but it didn't. So, being a semi-slacker-just-tryin-to-get through-this-weird-holiday type of mom I got her a glow in the dark skeleton sleeper. Pretty sure she will use this as jammies until probably January when she grows out of them. The girls went door to door with Josh and our neighbor friends while I watched recorded reality shows, I mean, while I waited anxiously at the door to hand out candy to excited trick or treaters.

Until next time....

Outside

The girls, especially Suri, love to go out back and run around. Why couldn't they have done this when it was warmer? Because that would have made too much sense.

Life continues to be too busy. I just take deep breaths and press on.

Until next time....

Parties

We are coming into the busiest time of year now. Lots of parties and traveling. On top of the busyness that Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas bring, Josh also starts his basketball season and Sophs will have another ten weeks of gymnastics. I will somehow still find time to take care of myself by going to the gym. It will just take a little more creativity. Here are some pics from the last few days:

Mommy, daddy, Sophie slumber party watching The Karate kid and eating yummies

Fun with laundry baskets

This is why we can't let Suri run around in just a diaper

Fa, Mulan........

Here is my youngest beauty. Probably not going to be a girly girl, but she sure is funny.

Until next time.

Pumpkin carving

Ooooooooooh, the excitement.......

A little help from mommy on the knife work and drawing.

Maybe not so exciting and a little gross.... She made vomiting sounds the whole time.

Ready for the candle....

Look what Sophia made........

Sunday snip its

More randomness from my crazy mind......

-I like Real and Chance...don't judge, or judge..I don't care.

-Suri Jean eats as much, if not more, than I do. It's crazy really.

-Sometimes it is nice to be boring and predictable.

-do I really need to fix my hair? It just seems hard. (for Josh "that's what she said")

-New recipes last week were French onion soup and beef stew. They were a hit. New this week are turkey avocado panini, chili lime chicken tacos, and luau chicken and rice. Wish me luck.

-Josh went to Chicago this weekend for the Urbanathalon and did very well. I may try and do it next year. Any females want to go with me? Also, boo, papi, Pamela, and Dale I need your babysitting services (I should be good asking a year out, right?)

-exercise classes are boring me lately. I'm still going but I'm bored.

-Christmas gifts purchased so far- zero

-my cousin Whitney and her kiddos, Addison and Lincoln, visited today. They are so cute!

-not sure if I am ready for another work week. I just have to muddle through 4 days and I will be AG (all good)

Until next time........

Cuteness

These two are so stinking cute. This is Sophia's neighbor friend, not related, however could easily pass as one of our blondes.

Belly buttons

Suri has discovered her belly button. She is constantly poking at hers and attempting to poke at mine. Josh doesn't find it amusing at all. He thinks it's weird and a little gross. Sophs just laughs and lets Suri poke away.

Go Blue!!

Watching the UM v. MSU game. I am yelling at the TV and Sophia runs by me and says, "they can't hear you."

Unbelievable.

Pumpkin patch

Today was pumpkin patch day. We went to Appleworks this year to enjoy all that fall has to offer: hay ride, train ride, slides, petting zoo, pony rides, apples, pumpkins, and yummy food. It was a hot fall day (85 degrees). The girls had fun, especially on their pony ride. Suri was filthy and probably brought 5 lbs of dirt home with us. When we got out to the pumpkin patch all Suri kept saying was "ball, ball, ball". I enjoyed the apple dumplings with ice cream the most.

Baller

We are starting Suri out early. This child totally knew what to do with that basketball before we showed her. She sure won't be winning any "assist" award in the future.

Boo Bear

As mentioned in a previous post Boo bear's days are numbered. He survived a surgical procedure, but his innards are becoming squishy and regardless of how many times I wAsh him he is still dingy. Boo (Josh's mom) was a thinker (not a stinker) and special ordered a perfect copy of boo bear. Sophs now has two and we will be prepared for when the original truly bites the dust.

Until next time......
