Lessons

Well, we've learned 2 things this week.

1. If Sophs has a water chugging contest with a buddy there is a 100 percent chance that she will projectile vomit.

2. Parents must communicate or your 5 year old may go to swim lessons without a bathing suit. See pic.

Sophia's Summer

Sophia's last summer before kindergarten is jam packed! She is still going to school 4 days since Josh is consumed (fo realz, it's ridiculous and I'm grumpy about it) with basketball... Grrrrrrrr!!! Anywho, jam packed summer...Sophia... That's where we were, right? This week Sophs has swimming lessons, and she is loving it. She gets about 50 minutes of one on one lessons and just soaks up all of the attention she gets. Next week she will have basketball camp (Josh says she doesn't have a choice. I agree with him on this one). The week after that she is going to stay with papi and boo. And the week after that we are on vacation. Then in July Sophs will have a week of volleyball camp and a couple days of shooting camp... Shewwwwww. Busy girl.

Sweet treats

I saw this little treat idea in a magazine and wanted to give it a shot with my little chef in training. Sophs LOVES to help me in the kitchen. She is always scooting her chair up to the counter to see what she can do. And, she is never far away when it comes to licking the spoon. I love this girl.

Oh, and just because she has the sweetest face in the world, here's Surs.

Worms..... Gross!

As I was digging up about 24 of these things

No clue what they were .....onions maybe?????
Sophs was collecting worms.

I told her that "sure, go ahead pick those worms up" because that's what kids are supposed to do. But in my head I was thinking "please don't touch your face, we need to wash hands, and if you come near me with those things I'm gonna BRING THE PAIN!!!!". Worms rank right up there with spiders in my book. Creepy!

We had our own little private circus tonight. Sophia has 5 years of training and looked like a pro.

Surs is still a work in progress but she held her own.

Success

Sur Surs first day was a SUCCESS!!!! After the initial one minute or so of crying her teacher said she started playing with all of her friends. When I got there to pick her up she didn't even act excited to see me. Matter of fact, I think she was a little pissed that I was taking her home. She kept trying to run away from me. Little stink!

Onto my Sophs.... This girl continues to crack me up. Every night we have about twenty minutes of rough house/ wrestling. Sophs honestly thinks she can take me. She told me today "mommy, I'm gonna bring the pain". Are you kidding me? Bring the pain........ Girl..... I'm may be losing a little quickness and agility in my 30 years, but I can still work you over......

Until next time......bring the pain....really?

Ready or Not

........here she comes....................

May God be with her poor teachers as they keep her from climbing on tables and eating her classmates snacks, hoping they can translate her language and understand what she is trying to say, and most importantly help them with nap time.
Amen!

Surs is going to have a ball!

Bittersweet

Suri had her last day at DiDi's house today. So bittersweet. On one hand we are excited for her to go to school, but on the other hand we are going to miss DiDi and her family soooooo much. We have been so fortunate to have met Miss DiDi. Both of our girls have stayed with her from when they were infants until about two-ish. Both girls have loved going to DiDi's house and are always HAPPY! DiDi told me this story about Suri the other day.

I was changing Suri's diaper and she was A MESS. I said "HOLY COW"! Suri quickly followed with "MOOOOOOOO"

Well, just like life one story ends and a new story begins. I'm sure Surs will do great at school.

Until next time......

My lil graduate

It seems like only yesterday I was sitting in the daycare office contemplating and worrying about sending my then 2 year old to school. Now she is officially a preschool graduate. So fun, but a little bitter sweet. We are so happy we took a leap of faith in enrolling Sophs in her school. She has had such wonderful teachers and they all "get her". I mean, they have loved her for exactly who she is. She is an energetic little girl who loves to be silly and TALK, boy does she love to talk. Most importantly Sophia is so happy. She has loved going to school. I hope she will be just as happy in kindergarten next year.

Tonight was her preschool graduation. When accepting her diploma the teacher said "Sophia S. When she grows up she wants to be a fashion and awesome girl". I love sophs. Definitely an original.

These are Sophia's teachers this year. Ms. Y and Ms J.

Shhhhhhhh. This is Sophia's favorite boy that's a friend. She LOVES this kid.

Time really does fly by. Surs will be starting school in one week. I had a friend ask me if I was getting nervous. My honest answer was "no, I'm more nervous for the teachers who will be taking care of Suri. She is a wild woman".

Mini-vaca

I'm happy to announce that neither of my children ate poop this weekend. Woo hoo!

We spent the weekend with my family in Madison. We got to enjoy my mom and Dale's new pool. It is absolutely gorgeous. Really if I were them I would never leave the house. The girls had a ball. Sophia has so much fun playing with her cousins, but when you add a pool to the mix it is fun times a bajillion. Suri liked the water as long as she was closely snuggled to somebody. I made the huge mistake of not applying sunscreen to myself hoping to tan my pasty white skin. Well, it's not pasty white anymore. Now I have more of a hot lava look. Ouch!!!

....A story

Once upon a time there was a blonde toddler who loved to dance and talk. One Sunday morning after church this toddler ran over to her mommy and said "mmmmmmmm....nummy!". At the same time she took a bite of "something". She handed her mommy the "nummy" and spit her bite out. After a brief examination of the "nummy", it was realized that it wasn't a "nummy" at all. Nope, it was POOP, the toddlers poop, that had fallen on the ground because the blonde toddler took one side of her diaper off. The end.

Now, who wants a kiss from this girl?

Road Trip

This weekend while Josh headed to Grand Rapids for a "boys weekend" the girls and I headed down to Madison to meet up with my family. On Saturday we took a road trip to Lanesville for Dale's parents anniversary party. Lanesville......not a lot in this town. But do you want to know how to make a local look at you like you are a ditsy blonde? Just walk into the general store and ask them where the National Guard Armory is. Yep, I walked in the store and asked him (because my mom told us that is where the party was). He said "ma'am, there is no armory in this town". I just said "uhhhhhhh, oh". Luckily the man had pity on me and guided me to where he thought I was looking to go. We eventually made it to the right place, no thanks to Pamela.....national guard armory...geesh!!!

Swingset

Last weekend the Sabol clan attempted and succeeded the task of assembling a swing set. The weather didn't completely cooperate but they managed. The girls LOVE it! They spent an hour and a half outside today playing on it.

Yes, you saw that right. Not only is Sophs wearing a dress to play, but she is also filthy and shoeless. MOTHER OF THE YEAR!!!
