Birthday Celebration

This weekend we celebrated Sophia's birthday with Boo and Papi. Sophia decided that she wanted to go to the children's museum and go out for dinner. Her real birthday is Wednesday and I cannot believe she is going to be seven years old. Love that girl.

January happenings

January has been such a busy month for us. Sophia started her 1st and 2nd grader basketball league. She did such a good job in her first game. No baskets but she played great defense and moved around a lot on offense. The tendency for this age group is to run up to the person dribbling and yell for it. Not sophs, she kept her girl busy.



Here is suri and the buddy she plays with during sophs practice and games.




Also, sophs lost both of her front teeth now. She just pulls them out herself. So gross.

Josh's basketball team is doing great this year. They are actually playing for the conference championship tonight.

Christmas

It is so sad how quickly Christmas goes by. All that planning and it's over so quickly. The girls have had such a great couple of weeks. Visits with both sides of the family, trips to ballgames, sledding, and lots of playing with toys. Oh to be a kid again, not a care in the world. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all. May 2013 bring much happiness. Until next time.....

Ballgame

Sophs and Josh had the day off of school and went down to Bloomington to catch an IU women's basketball game. Sophs had so much fun. She even talked Josh into going to the gift shop.










Suri was so excited when she woke up because we had snow! Here is a pic of her all ready to go to school.

Christmas at the zoo

Last night we took the girls to Christmas at the zoo. Not to sound like the grinch, but it was lousy. We saw Santa first and decorated cookies. That part was very fun. But then we had to wait to get in the zoo, fight the crowds, and barely saw any animals. We did get some funny pictures and the Christmas lights were nice. Until next time..

Sophia interview

Sophs and I had au girl's day today. She helped me finish up some Christmas shopping, we went for lunch, and we did the dreaded grocery shopping. At lunch sophs was talking up a storm so I thought I would ask her a few questions on camera.

The girls and I made a gingerbread house on Saturday. I was looking at it today and they have already eaten all of the candy off.

This weekend we went to Madison for a Christmas party. We had a great time. Lots of fun with friends, some cocktails, some dancing, and laughs, many laughs! Here are some pics from the party. I'm back

Sorry friends. I've been a sucky blogger lately. I have had a hard time just keeping up with life. Aunt Celeste called me out. Love you aunt Celeste! So, I'm back and hopefully I can be a little more consistent with my posts.

Let's see...what has been going on? Well, Josh is in the thick of his basketball season and his team is doing pretty well. He has only come home grumpy one time that I can think of. Here is a pick of the girls at one of his games. I will explain suri's face further down.



Ok, Suri's face. Don't worry. She has completely healed up now. Two weeks ago Suri did a major face plant on her school playground. Poor girl.



We had a pretty quiet Thanksgiving celebration. I had to work so we had bob evens cook our dinner and we ate when I got off work. The girls are so excited About Christmas. Our elf on the shelf arrived and has been keeping a close eye on the girls. It is amazing how fast a six year old will jump out of bed in the morning to see where the elf hid.

Zoo Boo

We went to the Indianapolis Zoo Boo yesterday and the girls got to dress up in their batgirl costumes again. We went early and thank goodness for that because it started getting really busy. Almost too busy for a small zoo. We decorated cookies, did pumpkin bowling, fed the birds, watched wizard of oz 4d, and checked out a few of the animals.

Chicago

Last weekend we took a mini vacation to Chicago. Josh and some of his buddies ran in the Urbanathlon. They have made this a tradition and claim that they are going to continue until they are old men. I ran in it last year and swore I would never do it again.

Of course we did some shopping while we were there. Guess where our first stop was?








Sophs was in heaven.

We definitely couldn't miss out on the Chicago style pizza.







How delicious does this look? And it was!

We also did a little sightseeing. The girls were so impressed with the bean. Sophs loved the Chicago institute of art and said that is where she is going to for fashion school. Grandparents we may need a little help with that one.
