Happy 2nd Birthday!

This weekend Sophia had a birthday party. She got to eat pizza and a piece of birthday cake with Mickey Mouse on it. She was so excited about all of her gifts, however she thinks that "ho ho" (santa claus) brought them all. Until next time...........

Almost 2

Sophia has had a very eventful January and February. She started at her new school and is doing very well. She is taking her naps on a big girl bed at school and loves all of the arts and crafts activities. She came home with a bag full of Valentines and one was from a boy. Josh wasn't to happy about that! She loves singing and dancing to songs especially "Ring Around the Rosey", although she can do a mean glowstick dance to "Zombie Nation". I have taken her to almost all of Josh's home basketball games where she loves to eat "pop pop with dip", suckers, and juice. We recently made a trip up to Findlay to visit my college roommate and her family. Sophia got to spend time playing with all of the little ones. Sophia will turn two this coming week. Time goes by so fast. Until next time......................

Christmas 2007

Santa Claus made a visit to our house this morning and brought Sophia exactly what she was hoping for: A baby (doll), and a puppy (stuffed). She was so excited! What a fun day and weekend we have had. We made the trip to Madison to spend some time with my family and Sophia absolutely had a ball running around Aunt Pee Pee and Mama Pam's houses squealing with Gracie and Addison. We returned to Greenwood yesterday to celebrate Christmas at home as a family. Wishing everyone happy holidays. Until next time........

Go Dogs!!

This past weekend we made a trip up to Adrian College to watch Sophia's uncle Kyle play his last game of college football. She got to ring the cow bell, pet a real pony, run on the football field, and spend time with her mama and papi. Until next time................

Halloween 2007

Sophia acted like a professional in her trick-or-treat debut. She carried her little bag like a purse and walked herself up to the neighbor's houses. She didn't quite understand trick-or-treat etiquette as she regularly reached her little hand into their candy dish without permission....What could you say though?...she was the cutest penguin ever!!! Until next time.............

Pumpkin Pickin'

Last weekend we made a trip to the pumpkin patch. Sophia picked out 2 pumpkins, road on the train, and went on a hay ride. It was a surprisingly hot fall day, but very fun.

What a Summer!

Can you believe that summer is already ending? Sophia has done so much but here is a brief list: Disney world, zoo, pool, playground/park, bike rides, wagon rides, museum visits, state fairs, church festivals, visits to mama and papa sabol, and visits to mama pamela. Woo, what an exciting summer. Sophia also enjoyed the sweet corn, watermelon, Popsicles, sidewalk chalk, swing sets, and her new potty chair. Her most memorable event for us was when she went superfly out of her crib in early July (no injuries, thank goodness). She loves to "rock, rock, rock" in her rocking chair from grandma holt, and she loves to watch football on tv-and might I say that she gets a little pushy when mommy wants to watch reality tv instead. Sophia loves to put her thee shrek babies, boo-bear, and baby doll to bed and give them kisses every night. She also likes to plug her little nose and remind us that her diaper is "stinky". Sophia no longer walks anyplace, it is all running with the occasional stumble. She loves waving at passing cars and airplanes and has finally mastered the work "mommy". I love it. Until next time...........

Fun Fair

Josh and I got a much needed break last weekend and headed downtown to relax. Sophia got to spend the weekend with her mamma and papa Sabol. She went to the family fun fair and got a temporary tattoo of a butterfly and played on her swingset, pool, and sandbox. She was absolutely worn out Sunday evening and slept for 13 hours. She is so silly right now. She is talking quite a bit, and is hard to keep up with since she has "happy feet". Until next time.........

Lucky 7

LUCKY 7

This past weekend we traveled to Madison to visit with my family. On Saturday morning Josh and I participated in a 10K. Josh ran with my brother-in-law and I walked with my sister. We were exhausted. Sophia got to visit with her mama Pam, aunt Peep peep, her cousins, her great mamas, and a few other family friends. She played with her cousins on the slip and slide and the pool. Sophia has recently learned how to show everybody her eyes, nose, ears, and hair and also gives the best "big Lip" kisses. Until next time..........

Disney World

Well, we survived our first trip to Disney World with Sophia. She absolutely loved every bit. Surprisingly she was able to ride a lot of rides. Her favorites were Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Pirates. She also loved the safari at the Animal Kingdom. Her first trip by plane was, lets say, interesting. Josh and I were both so exhausted after we landed. Sophia is just so busy. Josh also made it through his first day this summer as Mr. Mom. Although he did mention that he is very boring compared to 7 days at Disney World. I think Sophia is in agreement. Until next time........

Summer is here!!

Sophia is now 15 months old and very very busy. She is walking all over the place and climbing the stairs. Her favorite things right now are Vegitales (weird), popsicles, walks, going bye-bye, and climbing all over her tumble mats in the family room. Josh just finished his 3rd year at Center Grove and is already busy with summer basketball. I have been working the regular 40-50 hours a week, but the job is going well. We recently took a trip to the zoo with our friends from Ohio and their baby JJ. Sophia loved the meerkats. We will be taking a trip to Disney World in a few days and are looking forward to showing Sophs the ropes. Until next time.

Funny Bunny

What a busy couple of months we have had. We took a trip to Michigan for Easter weekend and just last weekend we went to Madison for my nieces birthday party. Sophia is walking, but mostly running all over the place now. She has two more teeth coming in and loves to go "bye-bye". Her favorite foods are anything that Josh and I are eating. We recently joined the YMCA and have started taking Sophia swimming one or two times a week. She also enjoys the prime-time play area where she gets to crawl through tunnels and slide down the slide. Next month we will be going to Disney World. We are all so excited. Until next time........

The Park

The warm weather came and left so quickly. We did get to enjoy a few beautiful days. We even got to take Sophia to the park. She had a great time. Sophia is now taking 4-5 steps on her own. She is so proud of herself. Until next time......

1 YEAR OLD

I can hardly believe that Sophia is one year old. She has 4 teeth now, and a head full of hair. Just kidding about the hair! She can stand for twenty seconds all by herself and can say "daddy, daddy, daddy". She celebrated her first birthday here in Greenwood with a house full of friends and family.

Josh has been busy with his basketball team. They just won a huge game that put them one step closer to the county title. I went back to work the first of February and have been very busy trying to keep up. I think I need a personal assistant.

Until next time.........

GO COLTS!!

First snow

We bundled Sophia up and took her outside for her first day in the snow. I think she had a really good time. She watched her daddy and I make a snow man and she made her own little Sophia snow angel. Josh managed to tip her over in the sled, but Sophia didn't even bat an eye. Until next time........

Almost A Year

Well, we made it through the new year and are now busy planning Sophia's first birthday. I have bee so fortunate to be off of work the last couple of months as I have seen Sophia learn so many new things. She is now crawling all over the place which is cute to watch but exhausting to keep up with. She pulls up on everything and loves to show off her ability to hold on with just one hand. She still loves to clap her hands, but has now added a little piggy snort. She loves, loves, loves teddy grahams and watermelon and would much rather eat whatever Josh and I are eating as opposed to eating her gerber third foods. Until next time.........
